Is Swamy Ramdev another Swamy Agnivesh in making?

Yesterday, Ramdev had an hour long meeting with Sharad Pawar. After the meeting, Sharad Pawar welcomed the “pragmatic” suggestions of Baba to tackle the menace of Black Money.Incidentally,Sharad  Pawar is among the fifteen ministers of Manmohan Singh Govt against whom Anna Team has leveled serious charges of corruption. Also, Incidentally, last year under attack from Anna Hazare, Sharad Pawar(for his ill-famous record on corruption and black money)  had to quit GOM on Lokpal.Really, it may be a matter of big speculation, how Baba could  entice  a person, whom Team Anna and many others believe to be among the most corrupt politicians in the country. Also, it may be interesting to speculate on the  “pragmatic” suggestions of Baba offered to Sharad Pawar to tackle the menace of Black money so that despite being an UPA ally, he could take a different line from Congress and publically expressed his support for Baba’s endeavor to unearth black money and enact effective laws to bring back black money stashed abroad. Now he is due to meet other leaders like Laloo Yadav, Mulayam Singh,Mayawati,Jayalalitha,Karunanidhi etc.(whose names have become synonyms for corruption in India) to impress them with his “pragmatic”suggestions to bring back black money. Probably, Baba had planned well in advance to “impress” all these leaders with his “pragmatic” suggestions to bring back black money to India.Hence,when Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday named these leaders for their alleged roles in corruption, Baba was very upset and he publically snubbed him for naming these leaders in the public meeting.

It appears that after one year of his shameful eviction from Ramlila Maidaan followed by series of investigations by Govt. agencies into alleged irregularities related to his Thousands of crores of Business Empire, Business Man in Baba seems to have taken over his intended social cum political activist role fighting against menace  of Black Money. Now his priority seems to curry favor with the union ministers and all those friendly with union Govt. to protect his business. His body language, public statements seem to be indicating the same. By snubbing Arvind kejriwal for naming the corrupt individual politicians, he has already sent a clear message to the Govt. that he wants to mend his relationship with them.

It appears that Baba has struck a clandestine deal(Hope during last one   year Baba has grown mature enough and would have struck only "verbal   deal" and not "written Deal" with Govt. like last time) with union Govt. and corrupt politicians to use Anti Corruption  Platform of Anna to sabotage the movement to their mutual advantage. Is Swamy Ramdev another Swamy Agnivesh in making?


If Swamy Ramdev is trying to follow into footsteps of another illustrious Swamy i.e. Swamy Agnivesh, he should know where has Swamy Agnivesh gone since expose of his conversation with "Kapil Ji" Maharaj?Baba had last year  committed mistake of striking clandestine deal with the govt..After the expose of the same, he has suffered its humiliating consequences for him for almost one year.Despite, knowing this fact, people seem to have condoned him for his "SIN" of last year and have given him another chance.If he tries to repeat the same mistake this time also and tries to go Swamy Agnivesh's way, he should know that he will have to go into "Oblivion" only like Swamy Agnivesh.
